Rules
- 1All three members must contribute to the final presentation.
- 2Teams must work within the time allocated for each stage.
- 3Teams must clearly state important assumptions made during problem solving.
- 4Solutions should address the root problem and not merely its symptoms.
- 5Changing the original concept is allowed when required by new constraints.
- 6The final solution must be technically and practically defensible.
- 7External assistance or unauthorised resources are prohibited.
- 8The final score will be based on the total completion time, including penalty time.
- 9Penalties: minor track deviation / boundary touch +5s; touching or displacing an obstacle +5s; missing a checkpoint +10s; robot completely leaving the track +10s; manual assistance to the robot +10s; any other major rule violation +10s.
- 10The team with the minimum total time (completion time + penalty time) wins.
- 11Robot specifications: dimensions must not exceed 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm at any point (5% tolerance).
- 12Wired bots are allowed.
- 13Weight must not exceed 5 kg (5% tolerance). Battery voltage and voltage across any two circuit points must not exceed 16.8 V.
- 14The bot can have 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive. Robot-making kits can be used. IC engines are not permitted.
- 15The robot must be mechanically and electrically safe.
